What’s What on Monday

This feels like a cop-out, but I’m strangely okay with it.

After spending the weekend volunteering with Hal-Con (Halifax’s Sci-Fi and Fantasy Convention), I’m a little tuckered out.  Actually I had a great time, but I have other things to do.  Since starting this blog I haven’t missed a Monday-Wednesday-Friday post, and I’d hate to start now.

What You Missed – Hal-Con.  We had great guests (John Rhys-Davies of Lord of the Rings; Brian Downey of Lexx; Nicholas Briggs of Doctor Who – to name a few), a whole floor for gaming, some really neat vendors, awesome artists, and fun things (like Geeks vs Nerds).

What You Can Catch – Lots of Theatre.  Playing at Neptune Theatre is “Bingo!” by Daniel MacIvor; Tuesday to Sunday is a multimedia reading of “Kill Shakespeare” presented by Vile Passeist Theatre; Next Tuesday to Sunday is “An Evening of Grand Guignol III” presented by Taboo Theatre; and that’s not to mention what’s happening after all of that.

The sad truth is that I pretty much only care about theatre, food and fun stuff (the other things are non-essentials).  I’m sure there are lots of other stuff happening, but right now this is all I can think about.  Blarg.
