My only plan for Cardiff was to go to the Bay and see the Millennium Centre. I wasn’t sure how big the city was or how long it would take me to get around. For some reason I thought of Cardiff as a giant city where it would take me hours to get between sights. For this reason I didn’t plan much.
It wasn’t until April that I realized Cardiff’s not really that big.
Not that I didn’t see interesting things while I was there in 2011:

Eventually I ran out of things to look at around the Bay area. So I decided to get on a bus and go towards the city. Thinking back, it would have been nice if I had any idea where I was going.
My plan was to watch carefully where the bus went, then walk back. I didn’t want to miss my train out of Cardiff (I had plans on seeing a show in London that night), so I didn’t get too far away from the train station. On my walk back I saw a lot of things, some of which I had no idea what they were.

And then I saw something that I didn’t expect to see – a poster for a movie that was filmed in Halifax, and which some friends of mine acted in:

A B-Movie created from a fake trailer in a Tarantino/Rodriguez movie, and possibly the last thing I thought I’d see across the pond. I never would have noticed that if I hadn’t been aimlessly wandering around.
How very random.
