One day I decided to go for a walk in the park. Green Park, to be more precise.
It was a beautiful day and the sun was shining. All around people were sitting on the grass or taking a walk.
Green Park is close to Buckingham Palace. I decided to swing over that way and have a look.
They were fixing up the Victoria Memorial, across from the Palace. I can still remember my first time in London, when we stood at the statue and looked across at the Palace.
And then I took a picture of the Canada Gate.
I also tried to take a few artsy photos.
I tried to find the Canadian War Memorial, but I was unable to do so. I wandered in the area where it was located, but I didn’t see anything that wasn’t a tree.
Then I came to the conclusion that since Canada is so greatly associated with the Maple Tree maybe the Memorial was a tree itself. I couldn’t find it, because it was blending in with the other trees.
___
Postscript: It turns out that the Canadian Memorial is not a tree. It’s likely that it was still under repair while I was in London.

Hmmmm….I have always yearned to visit London.
